Home brewing equipment allows anyone to produce small batches of beer right in their own home. These batches are usually very small, 5 gallons is a popular size that can fill up roughly 24 22oz bottles. Though this is not a lot of beer, multiple batches can be brewed at a time as long as there are multiple fermentation containers.

Home brewing equipment consists of relatively simple products, containers, hoses and airlocks but relies on slightly complicated processes to produce quality drinkable beer. All the equipment has to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized or the brew can be ruined, and ingredients have to be carefully added, often at specific temperatures, for the best tasting results.

Home brewing equipment can be most easily found in kits that supply all the necessary hardware and often some basic ingredients or mixes to get the home brewer started on the right track. The pre made mixes used allow the brewer to get used to using the equipment and learning how the process works before they begin making their own recipes and brewing unique creations of their own.
